Sandiacre Ensuite Remodel

Another bathroom remodelling project saw the team travelling this time to Sandiacre. With meticulous attention to detail as always, this bathroom was finished with brushed black chrome brassware and integrated LED lighting, creating a modern look with traditional accents.

To begin the build and installation of the approved design, we first removed all existing sanitaryware and units, and the room was stripped back to brick and stud. To ensure the longevity of the new installation, existing plumbing was removed and all new plumbing pipework and waste pipes were installed.

After this, our skilled electrician worked to spec and prepared the wiring for the aesthetic lighting. This consisted of LED spotlights, LED feature lights in the recess, mirror lighting, and LED cupboard lights. Despite working through the hottest summer on record, we kept the colder months in mind with the installation of electric underfloor heating!

Once all work was complete, the walls were replastered and the ceiling plaster skimmed. Achieving a flat base is important to achieve a perfect tile application. In this instance, 60cm x 60cm contrasting stone effect porcelain tiles were installed on the walls and floors. This neutral minimalism complemented the modern, but timeless, look of the room.

Combining functionality with thoughtful design, a new Geberit concealed toilet cistern with a wall-hung unit was added. This was joined by a new Dansani vanity unit and tall cabinet with backlit LED lighting and built-in shaver point sockets. A low-level Matki anti-slip matt finish shower tray was installed for both good looks and safety.

To complete the room, new Hansgrohe brassware was fitted with a brushed black chrome finish along with a heated towel rail.

The client was extremely pleased with the end result and we enjoyed working closely with them and the team on this successful project.
