Ilkeston Bathroom Renovation

23th February 2021

The project consisted of a complete bathroom renovation, which included redesigning the layout to create a better use of space. The work involved excavating some of the substrate to move the drainage, installing new plumbing and electrics, and plasterboarding all walls and ceiling. The client wanted a luxurious, modern look with dark stone effect tiles on the floor and walls, and wood-effect tiling in the shower area. In addition, the client requested the addition of a Smart bathroom TV, which included Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Scope of Work:

1. Demolition: The existing bathroom was gutted entirely to remove the old fixtures and fittings.

2. Layout Design: A new layout was designed to optimise space. This included moving the drainage to create a more efficient space.

3. Plumbing and Electrics: All new plumbing and electrics were installed

4. Walls and Ceilings: The walls and ceiling were plasterboarded and skimmed to create a smooth surface.

5. Tiles: The client chose dark stone effect tiles for the floor and walls, which contrasted with wood-effect tiling in the shower area. This created a modern, luxurious look in the bathroom.

6. Smart TV: A Smart bathroom TV was installed above the bath area, which included Netflix and Amazon Prime. The client was thrilled with this addition as it allowed for entertainment and relaxation during bath time.

The completed bathroom renovation with Smart TV addition exceeded the client's expectations. The layout was optimised, and the dark stone effect tiles combined with wood-effect tiling in the shower area created a modern, luxurious feel. The addition of a Smart TV allowed the client to watch their favourite programmes and relax in the tub. Overall, the project was completed successfully, and the client was thrilled with the outcome.
