Hilton Traditional Bathroom
7th November 2025
This bathroom was designed around a clear and unique brief from the client — “sky scraper” — combining strong vertical lines with traditional materials and fittings to create something both bold and timeless.
The space was stripped back and fully rebuilt, allowing for new plumbing and electrics to be installed throughout. This gave us the flexibility to refine the layout and ensure everything worked both practically and visually within the room.
The tiling plays a central role in the design. Gloss green brick tiles were installed with a strong horizontal banding detail, broken up with contrasting borders to emphasise the structure of the room. Within the shower, the vertical tile layout draws the eye upward, subtly reflecting the “sky scraper” inspiration and adding height to the space.
Underfoot, a classic black and white patterned floor brings a traditional feel, grounding the room and tying in perfectly with the period-style aesthetic.
The shower enclosure features a curved glass design, paired with traditional exposed valve brassware, keeping the look consistent with the overall theme. A chrome washstand basin and close-coupled WC were selected to complement this, maintaining that timeless, heritage feel throughout.
Additional details, such as the wall-mounted cabinet and carefully chosen lighting, add both function and character without overwhelming the design.
The end result is a bathroom that blends traditional craftsmanship with a clear design concept — bold, structured, and full of character, while still feeling practical and built to last.
