Full Tiling Project – Gaddesby

This project in Gaddesby was a large-scale tiling installation carried out across multiple areas of the property, combining traditional Victorian detailing with modern, high-performance finishes throughout.

The scope covered the entire ground floor, multiple bathrooms, and bespoke feature areas, all designed to flow seamlessly while maintaining their own identity.

Ground Floor Tiling

Over 100m² of 900 × 600 stone-effect porcelain tiles were installed across the ground floor, creating a continuous, durable surface that ties the space together.

Careful preparation and layout were key to achieving a consistent flow through each room.

At the entrance, a Victorian-style tiled porch was introduced, seamlessly integrated into the stone-effect flooring. This created a striking first impression while maintaining a smooth transition into the rest of the home.

Victorian Detailing

The project incorporates several traditional elements, bringing character and individuality into the space.

A matching Victorian pattern was installed in the downstairs toilet, paired with complementary Victorian wall tiling to create a cohesive, heritage-inspired finish.

Upstairs, three coloured tiled fireplaces were carefully installed in the bedrooms, each acting as a unique focal point within the room. In the snug, a contrasting black and white tiled fireplace was created, adding a bold, classic feature to the space.

Wet Rooms & Bathrooms

The property includes multiple bathrooms, each finished to a high standard with a focus on both aesthetics and performance.

The master wet room was tiled in similar stone-effect porcelain used downstairs, creating continuity throughout the home. The area was fully prepared using Schluter wet room systems, ensuring a completely waterproof and long-lasting installation.

The ensuite features marble basket weave mosaics, adding texture and detail to the space. This was also fully prepped using Schluter wet room equipment, combining traditional aesthetics with modern waterproofing reliability.

The main family bathroom was finished using Victorian tiles from Baked Tile Co, bringing a timeless, decorative element to the space while complementing the wider design of the property.

Overall Finish

This project showcases a balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern installation methods. From large-format floor tiling to intricate Victorian patterns and detailed mosaic work, every element was installed with precision and attention to detail.

The result is a cohesive home where each space flows naturally into the next, while still allowing key features to stand out — all built on a foundation of high-quality preparation and long-lasting materials.
