Darley Abbey Ensuite

19th September 2025

**Master Bathroom – Darley Abbey, Derbyshire**

This bathroom was a full strip-out and rebuild, taken right back to the bare structure to allow for a complete redesign of both layout and functionality.

All new plumbing and electrics were installed throughout, giving us the freedom to reposition key elements and create a cleaner, more balanced space. The shower area was formed using a low-level tray for a seamless, walk-in feel, enclosed with bespoke glass to keep the room feeling open and light.

The walls were finished with classic white brick tiles within the shower, paired with carefully installed waterproofing behind the scenes to ensure long-term durability. A recessed niche, detailed in marble and complete with integrated LED lighting, adds both practical storage and a subtle feature within the space.

Outside of the wet area, the room is wrapped in bespoke V-groove panelling, manufactured and fitted on site. This brings warmth and texture while keeping the overall look clean and timeless.

The flooring is a standout feature, using intricate marble mosaic tiles that add depth and detail without overpowering the room. This ties in perfectly with the more traditional elements, including the chrome washstand basin, which keeps the space feeling light and elegant.

Storage was carefully considered, with a mix of built-in cabinetry and open shelving to balance practicality with styling opportunities.

Finished with soft lighting, quality brassware, and a neutral palette throughout, this bathroom is a great example of combining classic design with modern installation techniques — built to last and designed to feel effortless.
