Ashbourne Victorian Floor

We recently completed a beautiful Victorian tiled floor project in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, enhancing an oak-framed annex that our client constructed at the rear of their property.

To ensure a solid foundation, we meticulously prepared the floor by installing 20mm of insulated tile backerboard, which not only provides structural support but also enhances thermal efficiency. Following this, we laid electric underfloor heating, creating a cozy environment that complements the aesthetic of the space.

After screeding the floor to achieve a level surface, we installed the striking Victorian tiles chosen by the customer, featuring a classic black and white chequerboard pattern accented with a stylish Kingsley border. This stunning installation not only adds charm and character to the annex but also ensures a functional and inviting area for various uses.
